balance2bewell is a program that strives to increase the wellness of young women by helping them balance their mind, body, and spirit. It is a program that has been developed by me, an Occupational Therapy student, to help the participants in the Miss Indiana Organization increase their overall wellness.

The program involves participants meeting with me for a few hours on a Saturday to discuss their own personal wellness and learn more techniques to continue their unique wellness journey.
I wanted to start this program because being a previous contestant, I know the added stressors that come with participating in pageants. This is a whole new occupation that you are adding to your daily life: getting ready for the pageant, the quick paced pageant environment and participation, being a role model for others, and a year of service. Each of the women involved in this organization are already busy promoting their platforms on top of all their other acts of service, school, work, and other daily activities.
A life can quickly become imbalanced with all these activities and changes. Thus balance2bewell was created with a goal to help others maintain balance throughout their unique wellness journey.
